This is part 2 of my interview with Joel Libava, The Franchise King®.

Joel’s piece of advice for young people thinking about getting into franchising is to get off the line and into management. Be straightforward and tell your boss where you want to go and the doors will open!

Joel is excited about the tutoring franchises that are opening up and about senior care. There may be a consolidation happening soon but the numbers are going the right way – the population is ageing and people are wanting to stay in their homes longer!

Joel’s number one piece of advice for prospective franchisees is to have more money for living expenses set aside than you think you will need. If everyone could have set aside 18 months of living expenses when they buy a franchise, it would be a whole lot easier!
